Across the world, millions of Christians live in places where following Jesus comes at a great cost. Some estimates put this number as high as 380 million<\/strong>. That\u2019s\u00a0one in seven Christians worldwide<\/strong>\u00a0who face persecution for their faith!<\/p>

The Bible reminds us that persecution is not a strange thing for those who follow Christ. The Apostle Paul wrote,\u00a0\u201cEveryone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted\u201d<\/em>\u00a0(2 Timothy 3:12<\/strong>). Jesus Himself said,\u00a0\u201cIf they persecuted me, they will also persecute you\u201d<\/em>\u00a0(John 15:20<\/strong>). Yet even in suffering, Scripture assures us of a greater truth\u2014\u201cnothing can separate us from the love of Christ\u2014neither tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, danger, nor sword\u201d<\/em>\u00a0(Romans 8:35<\/strong>).<\/p>

For those of us who enjoy freedom to worship, the Bible calls us to stand with those who suffer for their faith.\u00a0\u201cIf one part suffers, every part suffers with it\u201d<\/em>\u00a0(1 Corinthians 12:26<\/strong>), and\u00a0\u201cremember those who are in prison as if you were together with them\u201d<\/em>\u00a0(Hebrews 13:3<\/strong>).<\/p>

Organized by the World Evangelical Alliance, for more than two decades, the\u00a0International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP)<\/strong>\u00a0has united the global church in prayer for our suffering brothers and sisters. Observed each\u00a0November<\/strong>, churches around the world dedicate this time to intercede<\/em> and act<\/em> on behalf of those who remain steadfast in faith amid hardship and hostility.<\/p>

This year, under the theme\u00a0\u201cFaithful to the End<\/em>\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0(Revelation 2:10), IDOP 2025 will be marked on\u00a0November 2 and 9<\/em><\/strong>,<\/em>with churches free to observe it throughout the month.<\/p>

Join us as we remember those who share our faith but not our freedom. Let\u2019s pray that they would remain faithful to the end.<\/p>
