The Voice of the Martyrs Canada

Imprisonment.
Mob attacks.
Church burnings.
Rape.
Torture.
Enslavement.
Execution.

What may seem like atrocities straight out of church history are part of the daily reality facing millions of Christians today. Locked away in prisons, sold into slavery, beaten and tortured, often deprived of the most
fundamental rights and bodily necessities,
the cries of our sisters and brothers need to be heard.

The Voice of the Martyrs exists to glorify God
by serving His Persecuted Church.

Richard Wurmbrand

The Voice of the Martyrs has been ministering to persecuted Christians around the world for over 30 years in more than 50 countries. Founded by Richard Wurmbrand, a Romanian pastor who was imprisoned and tortured for 14 years for professing his faith in Christ, The Voice of the Martyrs serves the Persecuted Church in five ways:

  1. Running to help those who suffer for their faith.
We seek to encourage and empower persecuted Christians to fulfill the Great Commission by providing Bibles, literature, radio broadcasts, and other forms of aid.
  2. Remembering the families of today’s Christian martyrs.
We provide relief for the families of Christian martyrs around the world.
  3. Rebuilding the Church’s witness after persecution ends.
Through projects of encouragement, we help believers rebuild their lives and Christian witness after incidents of persecution.
  4. Reaching out in love to the persecutors.
We equip persecuted Christians to share Christ to those who oppose them.
  5. Raising a voice for those who cannot speak.
Using a multitude of means, we seek to share the courage, faith, and trials of persecuted Christians with fellow believers in Canada.

Through our monthly newsletter, we introduce Canadians to the lives of their brothers and sisters around the world. This publication, free to Canadian addresses, shares testimonies of the faith and courage of our persecuted brothers and sisters around the world. You will also discover practical ways that you can take action on their behalf.

No matter where we minister, the first request of persecuted Christians is almost always the same: “Pray for us.” Answer their requests by joining in prayer for the persecuted. Our weekly email service, the Persecution and Prayer Alert, offers up-to-date persecution news and prayer requests.
